Help me find actual names for these art styles please!!?
I love the art style in the movie The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, the small travelling theatre. It's very similar to the same style in the Smashing Pumpkins video "Tonight Tonight". It's kinda old, antique-ish, cartoony, can be kinda weird / eccentric, creepy even. What on earth do you call it?? If it actually has a name!!
Also, I love the style that Kat Von D done Nikki Sixx's sudio up like & need to find a name, or whatever, used to describe it. The decor. style kinda is like the stuff above, big bold damask print wallpaper, taxidermy, antique mirrors, candles, manequins, chez lounge, fur stuff, ouija boards, steampunk stuff, skulls & evil looking baby dolls with no eyes.

well, from what came up on google images when i searched the things you mentioned - as i have no knowledge of them already - your not talking about art your talking about set design and the mise en scene of an image, which is as you described, the wall paper, the candles. the skulls, all the props and "things" that have been put into the image.
I think there probably is a name for it, but it's just fantasy, erm, kind of classical, Victorian with that weird edge to it. Also, i don't think your a right weirdo, i love what I see lol; im doing a creative arts degree at the moment and I would love to end up being the person putting all this stuff together for films or tv/theatre productions. Sorry didnt really find an answer to your question lol
